Looking after ourselves

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I'm OK today @outlander. Not long been home from the op shop. I've fed the cats, had my dinner, changed into pjs so time to relax now.

Uni starts again on Monday.

How are you doing? I caught on your last few days.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I'm glad your ok. How was your time at the op shop? And how's Jasper?

Uh im ok i guess still feel abit out of sorts and isolated but i guess thats kinda normal in this circumtance.
I only got home about 7which is early for me lately. Trying to arrange 10 thousand things all at once. Seem to be slowly getting through things though. @Sans911

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Ill be back in a few minutes. Totally forgot to remake my bed with clean sheets

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

The op shop was good today. I work the same people each Saturday afternoon and I like them. We work well together with no problems.

Jasper is alright. Both he and Mr A are asleep on the top of the sofa. Leaves me on my own. I'll get Jasper to the vet this week.

Sounds like lots of responsibilities are piling on top of you. That's a lot to handle for anyone let alone someone so young. You really are stuck in a difficult situation.

@outlander

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Sorry it took me so long I ended up having shower but before I could do that I had to clean up the mess pop left on the floor from missing :face_with_rolling_eyes:😖 @Sans911

Really good that the op shop shiftsgo well.
Aw they should come give you cuddles. The sofa must be comfy for them rather then there beds!

There is a lot of responsibilities atm (or as usual I should say) but after tomorrow arvo some of the things with the horses ease cause some owners are back from holidays and I've done the arranging for a bulk feed order (have to get who and how many sort prices etc) which is done now till next weekend when the delivery comes.
And the event I helped out with (but can't attend tomorrow) is sorted out now and everything is ready for the coordinators etc who are there tomorrow.
I feel so bad cause I've barely done anything these holidays with the kids and today they both kept saying these holidays have been so boring wehavent even ridden our horses even though you said (as in me) would take them. They've been good mostly though despite being bored and annoyed at doing nothing (don't blame them there)
Then most stuff will go back to normal with me having kids in the morning and after school till around 7ish and appointments throughout the week (which reminds me I need to ring carers in my local area on Monday and reschedule my psych appt yet again cause I double booked with pops specialist.
Jeepers sorry for my ramble!

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I like reading @outlander so rambles are ok with me.
You've had an awful lot on your plate to cope with. It did not help one of your sister's was probably too sick to ride. Ah well, they're back at school tomorrow so it'll probably soon be forgotten.

The boys are on the bed now. Mr A is lying against my leg and Jasper is on his blanket. He's still not taking to his bed even if I put the blanket on top. While you were away, Jasper had a massive vomit, worse then the other night. It seems he might be in pain too. I rang an after hours vet, but they're very expensive. So I'll monitor him for now, and if he's sick tomorrow I'll have no choice. Otherwise I'll ring first thing Monday morning.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Tomorrow is Sunday 😉 @Sans911 they go back Tuesday so 2more days to go. And yes one being sick plus horrific winds hasn't been helpful either.

Oh the poor thing! Do you think itshis digestive issues causing it or possibly something else? Maybe the vets could give him some pain relief in a powder form or something in case he needs it.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I think it's possible that his digestive tract is part of the problem but I'm concerned there's something else going on too. Some blockage somewhere that's not allowing him to properly digest food. I'm a little scared tbh.

I just spoke to my mother on the phone. She's staying with my brother in Canberra. And my sister has arrived from Adelaide after driving from there. It's a shame I couldn't be there too. My mother will fly back here next Saturday. I'll pick her up from the airport.

@outlander

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

That doesn't sound very good @Sans911 ii hope that it isn't something serious. Calling after hours vet if he gets worse etc sounds like a good idea. Its hard when its an animal cause they cant just tell you whats wrong with them.

Its abit of a shame your not able to go to but youll be a ble to see your mother jn a weeks time

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

It would have been nice to see my brother and sister too @outlander. I miss them a lot. I wish we didn't live so far apart.

If only Jasper could tell me what was bothering him. But they have ways of letting us know things aren't right. Jasper has meowed louder and differently tonight and a few nights ago that made me think he's in pain. And when he isn't well he doesn't meow much at all. He goes quiet. I'm trying to give him lots of little pats and attention.

What is happening for you this coming week?
