Hi 2853 good news about your son. I agree with you whole heartedly with a drug and alcohol programme. Baby steps me thinks you do not want to go through all of this anguish again ... with my son he basically has grown out of his anger issues but has schizophrenia amongst other issues and that will never change but he has improved and I cannot ask for more than that.

I would trust your mother's instinct (dont let yourself be pushed around) and go with the programme. Wishing you and your son all the best.

Thankyou greenpea for your response...my instinct is so strong on this programme....ive spoken to my daughter and to my surprise she is willing to visit with me...she has not seen her brother for 3 yrs..and has said if her brother goes into this programme she will support and visit him on a regular basis..this im sure will help...so we will give him all the incentives he needs to get him to pick up the phone and call otherwise i dont think he will be strong enough to survive on his own....i hope you are keeping well and thanks so much for your valued feedback..feeling a tiny bit positive..
