When you chose to be alone, i don't think it means you are lonely. Yes, you are 'alone', but you are not 'lonely'. That's my take @Snowie 

I love being alone. But in no way do I feel lonely at all!

I enjoy interacting with people in the few social activities which take up part of my time.

Majority of the time I’ve at home with my cats, do what I want when I want.  Miss having another human in the house at times but most of the time I enjoy my own company.

I'm starting to like cats a little, but I think I'm still a dog person lol.

At the moment, I'm a pet-free person because I don't have the time to dedicate to a pet and feel it's not fair on them. 

Pets can certainly bring so much joy to a person's life 🙂
