Re: Tillogram

Hello @Till23 , @AuntGlow , @Jynx , @tyme

To answer your question @AuntGlow from the other thread

I am feeling the phone appointment will not work as I find it hard to talk to the specialist face to face

I have written everything down

And tried to send it to the nurse but no reply from the nurse

Re: Tillogram

Awww @Till23 , stepping away at times is good But please stay with us xx

Re: Tillogram

Good evening @Till23! I am here until 10, so not leaving yet. ☺️

We have sooo much room for you, please remember that!

The wonderful thing about this space is that you can be at any level of need or on any part of your journey, and it will still be relevant and supportive for everyone. There's no prerequisite for you to be here. 💛

Re: Tillogram

I get that, it can be quite overwhelming, can't it? @Shaz51

Writing things down is a great way to feel prepared... what else do you think could help here? 🤔💛

Re: Tillogram

Oh I didn't realise @AuntGlow, so there are two peer support workers on this evening. There seems to have only been one for a few evenings. I haven't quite worked out what's going on since I got back. I haven't been on that much.

I was hoping the trip would lift me up a bit. It did while I was away and for the first few days after I got back even though my sleep was all over the place due to jetlag. Then I started sliding, I thought maybe the weather was problem, but it seems to be more, was it Dad's anniversary and not having my dog here - that's definitely part of it.

I am trying to post fun things on the forums and be positive on the social threads. But it's wearing a mask for the forums - so not sure if that is helpful.

Anyhow, sorry long post when you are busy with others. I think also I read you are house hunting, so you have a bit on your own plate.

Re: Tillogram

Actually, there's 3! @Till23  🙂

Re: Tillogram

Yaaaa @tyme 😁

And a CG , @Till23

Re: Tillogram

Party time @Shaz51 ! @Till23 !

Re: Tillogram

Oh wow that's a good staff level @tyme @AuntGlow - who is 3? is that Jynx?

Yes I know you are here @Shaz51 being an excellent Community Guide corralling people into chats and posting uplifting things

I thank you all for the support you have all given me since I joined in January this year. Many others have also been supportive so it's been good overall. I hoped I could be more of a support, but I have not been able to always maintain that and lately I feel I have been a resource consumer rather than a bit of a resource for others

Re: Tillogram

Jynx is around too. @Till23

I was going to say, I feel you really have it in you for peer work. I recognise there are sometimes when you feel down, but we all do. Just because we are peer workers, it doesn't mean we dont' have crappy days.

This is why when I have a crappy day, I let people on the forums know. When I'm sick, I let people on the forums know. This is not to get sympathy, but to show that even peer workers get sick and unwell... we also have crappy days.

It's not so much that you can't have crappy days, but how we manage it and how we work with others in the community so everyone benefits.

Hope this makes sense. Just keep doing what you are doing and allow yourself to feel low sometimes. That's why we need each other.
